Join QantasLink’s Maintenance Operations Centre (MOC) and play a key role in supporting the safe and efficient operation of our Dash 8 Q400 and A220 aircraft.

Reporting to the Manager Airworthiness Operations, you’ll join a newly expanded Maintenance Watch team as a Duty Technical Manager. You’ll be responsible for CAMO oversight of fleet airworthiness, managing defect rectification and deferral, and supporting operational performance.

This is a dynamic, fast-paced role requiring strong technical expertise, sound judgement, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, maintenance, and flight operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee fleet reliability and defect management.
  • Ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective maintenance execution.
  • Monitor disruptions and provide realistic rectification timeframes.
  • Collaborate with Planning, AMOs, ROC, and Flying Ops to minimise delays.
  • Ensure compliance with CAMO Exposition and procedures.
  • Act as a key liaison between CAMO, AMOs, and ROC on airworthiness matters.
  • Approve defect deferrals on behalf of CAMO.
  • Maintain accurate records in TRAX and report on technical issues.

What You’ll Bring

  • LAME B1 or B2 with 5+ years in Line or Base Maintenance, or Maintenance Watch/Tech Support experience.
  • Type rating on Dash 8 and/or A220 (or similar aircraft) desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proven commitment to safety, quality, and compliance.
  • Experience managing AOG recovery.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
