Job Description

The Senior IT Project Manager will lead and manage a range of projects with significant complexity, size inside various parts of the project lifecycle. The Senior IT Project Manager may be allocated a number of projects concurrently also depending on the input required and the structure of the project/program of work.   

In this role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex Technology and Digital projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, within-scope, and budget-compliant completion. Your leadership and expertise will be pivotal in driving project success and achieving our strategic objectives. You will cultivate and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, essential for coordinating all project aspects across various streams, milestones, complexities, dependencies, and deliverables. As the Project Manager, you will manage the overall delivery and performance of the team, utilising available tools and processes to maintain consistent velocity and focus on time to value.  

You’ll have: 

  • Over 10 years of Project Management experience in large technology environments. 
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects, including those in Digital, from planning through to implementation and transition to run phase, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. 
  • Proven experience in managing projects delivering digital experiences (websites) and backend platforms/systems (CMS, Orchestration, APIs)
  • Strong leadership skills, and experience leading other Project Managers
  • Strong demonstrated experience managing a variety of stakeholder groups concurrently and at all levels, including Executive level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster strong relationships with stakeholders and ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Strong motivation and self-starter attitude, ability to motivate fully fledged project teams and/or adopt a hands-on attitude and to lean in directly when required to meet specific objectives.
  • Expertise in developing and maintaining detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and effectively managing project resources in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. 
  • Strong commercial acumen, monitoring and reporting on project progress, budgets, proficiency leading early commercial vendor conversations, SOW drafting, review and recommendations.
  • Experience in ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards. 
  • Proficiency with project delivery software tools such as Jira Workflow Management and Microsoft Project and budget management tools such as Clarity. 
  • Strong understanding and practical application of PRINCE2 project management methodologies
  • Recognised Project Management certifications, such as PMI, PMP, PRINCE2, or AIPM preferred
  • Airline experience (desired, but not essential)
