Are you a qualified accountant with a passion for financial integrity and capital expenditure (CAPEX) accounting and reporting? Jetstar is looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Financial Control team and support our fast-paced, high-performing environment.

Reporting to the Finance Manager – Engineering, Inventory and Fixed Assets, this role is responsible for delivering accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting, with a particular focus on CAPEX. You will work closely with FP&A, Jetstar Branded Airlines, and Qantas Group stakeholders to ensure sound accounting practices across complex CAPEX transactions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering end-to-end CAPEX reporting and financial analysis aligned to group frameworks
  • Supporting business case reviews and advising on CAPEX accounting treatment
  • Preparing CAPEX dashboard reports for project owners and stakeholders
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements
  • Providing audit support and partnering with internal/external stakeholders
  • Reviewing outsourced provider outputs related to CAPEX

What you’ll bring:

  • CA/CPA qualification with minimum 3 years’ post-graduate experience
  • Strong technical accounting skills, ideally with CAPEX experience
  • ERP experience (preferably Oracle, TM1, HFM) and advanced Excel skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and commercial acumen
  • A collaborative, can-do attitude and comfort working with ambiguity
