Supporting the Operations FP&A team, the focus of the Finance Analyst - Operations is on effectively analysing, reporting and providing insights on costs, identifying opportunities and influencing outcomes across the operation with particular focus on Fuel, Airport Charges and Safety.  Having a can-do attitude and the flexibility to adapt across different cost functions will be key to success in this role.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Deliver clear and consistent reporting of financial performance including monthly results
  • Measurement and tracking of cost drivers, operational metrics and cost saving initiatives
  • Forecast and budget preparation
  • Flag risks and opportunities to enable mitigation
  • Provide financial support on new cost saving initiatives, with ongoing focus on unit cost improvement, working closely with management
  • Provide financial support for business cases and/or contract reviews including detailed financial modelling and analysis

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Professional accounting qualification or currently studying (e.g. CA / CPA)
  • Minimum 1 year experience providing insightful analysis through management accounting or business partnering
  • Exposure to a complex and faced paced corporate environment
  • Strong computer-based skills (advanced Excel, PowerPoint)
