As the Communications & Engagement Coordinator, you’ll support the Manager Business Administration, leadership teams, and operational functions to deliver activities that engage, inform, and promote the wellbeing of Qantas Group employees in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. You’ll develop and execute effective internal and external communications, newsletters, social media communications, coordinate logistics for key projects and events, and play a vital role in building a positive and inclusive organisational culture.  

 

You’ll have – 

  • Prior experience in communications, engagement, or a related field  
  • Tertiary qualification (completed or in progress) in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related discipline is preferred  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences and channels  
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and seek feedback to improve performance  
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels  
  • Organised and able to manage multiple tasks or projects, prioritising effectively to meet deadlines  
  • Attention to detail in preparing communication materials and managing engagement activities  
  • Comfortable using digital tools, social media, and basic design or content management platforms  
  • Creative thinker, able to contribute ideas for engagement initiatives and communication campaigns
