Job Description

  • Test Lead role working within our Jetstar Technology Team 
  • Working on challenging and exciting projects 
  • 12-month role based at our Collingwood head office (hybrid working options available) 

As the Test Lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing the testing activities, including testing, data validation and defect management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and vendor to ensure that our software meets the highest quality standards and fulfills the requirements of our clients.

This is a leadership role that requires a strong understanding of testing methodologies, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successfully leading project testing efforts. 
 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Review business requirements preparing test plans, test schedules, test status reports, and test summary reports for sprint-based delivery.  
  • Lead the preparation of test cases and test execution within an Agile environment to ensure high-quality software delivery.  
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress, issues and outcomes. 
  • Help schedule and manage testing efforts to minimize delays and meet project deadlines.  
  • Lead the preparation of test cases and test execution within an Agile environment to ensure high-quality software delivery. 
  • Collaborate with business users, business analysts, external development teams, and project management to successfully deliver project objectives and requirements. 
  • Support the use of automation in testing within the domain to improve efficiency and quality. 
  • Contribute to success of the Software Testing Practice by sharing knowledge, suggesting improvements and heling create templates and best practices 

You’ll have:  

  • 5 years in a similar role working in a complex environment.  
  • Experience with Jira Xray or similar Test Management systems. 
  • Experience working in an Agile and Waterfall environment. 
  • Strong organisational skills and enjoy a dynamic, agile environment. 
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand commercial, operational and customer experience impact.
  • Proficiency in test case design, execution, and defect management. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Knowledge of developing, maintaining or executing automation scripts will be highly regarded, but not essential.
