For as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of being a pilot. Growing up, my family travelled a lot, and I remember the first time I was invited into the flight deck as little girl I was totally mesmerised. 

My first flight as a QantasLink Pilot was just as memorable - I flew out of my home town of Adelaide, which was really special. The departure was a real pinch me moment and I will never forget introducing myself as First Officer Amelia for the first time over the PA. My family surprised me at the airport and filmed my departure, in the recording you can hear my Mum crying in the background. 

Now, two years into my journey with QantasLink, I can honestly say it's been an incredible ride. Not only do I have the privilege of flying, but I also have the opportunity to impart my knowledge by teaching technical aviation theory courses to fellow QantasLink pilots nationwide.
