We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to guide and lead the architecture, delivery, and development of the software systems that power our business unit.

This role is for a hands-on, highly skilled software developer with the experience to both code and mentor other technical team members to deliver high-quality, well-designed software. You will share significant responsibility for the quality of the software being built, including achieving desired business outcomes, meeting reliability and performance expectations, and safely managing security and data privacy concerns.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you are expected to have a solid understanding of how web applications are delivered and operated end-to-end within an enterprise environment. You should have strong expertise with back-end technologies, but experience with front-end technologies is also desirable.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Strong knowledge of Agile and Lean software development practices as well as the SDLC.
  • Extensive experience with version control tools like Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, and code reviews.
  • A strong, end-to-end technical understanding of how applications run and operate within an enterprise environment.
  • In-depth, expert knowledge in back-end technologies (e.g., Java, Springboot, API, REST).
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehouses and Teradata.
  • Expertise with messaging systems like Kafka.
  • Knowledge and experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, RDS).
  • Experience with GraphQL and various authentication methods.
  • Expertise with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience researching and troubleshooting bugs and performance bottlenecks in a production environment.
  • Good knowledge of important software design considerations, including security, performance, and data privacy.

Desirable 

  • Experience with front-end technologies like React, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and TypeScript.
  • Experience working with AEM.
  • Use of observability tools like DataDog.
