Senior Business Analyst

• Senior Business Analyst role working within the Engineering Technology team
• Working on challenging and exciting initiatives
• 20 Months fixed term contract position - based at our Collingwood Office with hybrid WFH flexibility.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be providing business analysis within QF group AOCs including requirements/use case elicitation and development, process mapping and analyst support to the eMRO project. You will support projects throughout the lifecycle with emphasis on requirements, process, test and implementation activities at the direction of the Project Manager / Product Owner. Also supporting the development and evolution of Business Analysis within Jetstar.

Jetstar will be replacing its current critical Maintenance Information System (TRAX) to a modern application architecture based on a similar data structure called eMRO. eMRO is a leading-edge device-agnostic application designed to cater to virtually every aspect of aircraft maintenance & fleet management. Deployed via any web browser, this technology lets you stay connected no matter where you are. eMRO is a fully integrated product which allows complete information flow between the modules throughout the system. The software provides the means to manage and maintain all information generated by a maintenance organization. With an open architecture and easy installation, eMRO was built to empower users. This solution gives you the accessibility that maximizes productivity and streamlines business processes.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

• Deliver BA outcomes in accordance with agreed governance standards, methodologies, work practices, systems and tools
• Apply best practice BA methodologies in support of eMRO discovery and migration project
• Contribute to Group IT continual improvement initiatives
• Effectively work with key business stakeholders, program and project teams to gather requirements & capture business needs utilising various methods including meetings, workshops, process analysis, research etc.
• Ensure detailed business and / or functional requirements are clearly and accurately documented.
• Must be able to clearly and simply articulate business requirements from a business perspective; whilst still being able to produce functional documentation which provides sufficient detail
• Review and validation of high-level processes, systems and reporting to ensure full coverage of requirements.
• Ensuring ongoing business and functional requirements are captured & validated ensuring the Project / Program success

To be considered for this role you will have:

• Tertiary qualification in business / Information Technology
• Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience working in a business analyst role
• Experience working on CBAP, Lean, Six Sigma and Agile BA
• Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities to extract operational benefit from re-engineering, of process, resource, and scoping of key technology initiatives
• Experience with general business requirements management / documentation for IT changes and understanding business drivers
• Experience in working and delivering BA outcomes in large scale IT project
