As the Qantas Distribution Platform (QDP) Product Specialist you will be an integral part of the Qantas Distribution team, responsible for the overseeing the QDP merchandising system and capabilities within Qantas. You will be responsible for the development, testing and implementation of the New Distribution Capability (NDC) merchandising capabilities to ensure the most efficient and effective delivery of offers and ancillary products, to market.

Additionally, as the QDP Product Specialist, you will also contribute to and drive the continuous development of process, policy, procedure and business cases to support the Qantas Distribution Strategy. You will seek opportunities to improve business performance through automation and rule management within the NDC merchandising system (FLEX-M) and NDC Schedule Builder and the management of various short and long-term initiatives.

You’ll have –

  • Preferably 3+ years’ experience working with airline pricing or merchandising systems within a similar position
  • Ability to partner with internal teams and product vendors to maximise system performance
  • High-level understanding of airline fares and pricing systems
  • Solid technical and testing experience within an airline setting
  • Strong stakeholder management with the ability to influence and communicate complex information with a diverse audience across all levels
  • A positive and proactive approach with a high focus on continuous process development and improvement
  • Self-managed and motivated with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • The ability to coach and train system capability across the pricing and broader sales and distribution teams
  • Experience developing written communications including (preferably) change requests and product briefs
  • Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage and prioritise several competing tasks & meet deadlines
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
