As a Technology Enablement Manager within our Retail Tribe you will co-create technology solutions to address our member needs. You will be accountable for eliciting the true business requirements and determining the technical solution and considerations whilst leading a small team..

The role acts as a conduit between the Qantas Loyalty Tribes and the broader Technology Enablement Functions with regular engagement with Product, Commercial and Engineering functions both internal and external to Qantas Loyalty. The role calls for a balance of technology leadership and influencing skills to proactively plan for, and manage, all interactions with  technology business partners to lead innovation and continuous improvement.

You’ll have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, or Computer Engineering discipline or 5+ years of total experience in Information technology
  • Proven capabilities in dealing with internal & external stakeholders with a strong customer focus to build effective working relationships at a senior level
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong team spirit and level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capability to facilitate workshops and interact effectively with team members and partners
  • Must be able to conduct system analysis by reviewing system/enterprise architecture and technically determine behaviour, structure and other features of the system.
  • Must be able to interpret system information and have the knowledge to come up with an improved architectural model whenever a requirement arises.
  • System integration analysis is paramount to be able to determine which systems can be brought together and work together perfectly - must be able to interpret and propose API specifications and feel comfortable with Postman or similar.
  • Experience in Cloud computing and cloud-based applications desired and exposure to Open-source frameworks and tools
  • Experience with operations, cybersecurity, compliance, and risk management practices in enterprise environments
  • Adaptability, flexibility and the ability to deal with ambiguity associated with working in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Demonstrated excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem resolution, decision-making skills and the ability to collect/analyse data and present conclusions to management
  • Excellent project and time management skills; coordinating activities across multiple business groups and managing multiple requests/deliverables simultaneously
