The Training & Compliance Officer is responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of training for A220 Flight Crew and Cabin Crew, including both initial and recurrent compliance requirements. This role specifically oversees Flight Crew Line Flight Proficiency Checks, Emergency Procedures training, recurrent simulator and ground training, upgrade training, continuity of flight crew medical(s) compliance and the completion and maintenance of training programs and records, both manual and electronic.

Your role and responsibilities will be:

  • Ensuring aircrew legalities and expiry databases are compliant, and aircrew records and documentation are compliant with the company operations manual(s) and applicable CASA legislation. You will also provide administrative and operational support to the Part 121 Training organisation.
  • Accurate and timely implementation of rostering amendments of all aircrew (Flight and Cabin) in response to training disruptions across the A220 network. Critical to the role is ensuring all replanning remains compliant with relevant Industrial Agreements, CASA regulations, internal procedures, and protocols. In this role, you will engage with various stakeholders within Flight Operations, Standards and Development and the ROC to ensure that crew training remains effective and efficient.  
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with iFlight and have the ability to create good rapport with CASA and other stakeholders.  

Your experience, qualifications and attributes will include:

  • Minimum 2 years’ recent experience within the Operational Industries (ie. Aviation, Transport etc) preferably within a rostering, training, or operational role.  
  • Demonstrated knowledge of airline operating practices and associated regulatory guidelines and compliance. 
  • Proven ability to work within a high pressure, time critical team environment, with the ability to execute responsibilities independently, meet deadlines and work under pressure across conflicting priorities
  • Demonstrated organisational and analytical skills 
  • Detailed knowledge of Aircrew Awards and relevant CASA regulations
  • Demonstrated influencing, negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Good computer skills with experience in data base operations
  • Proven problem solving and decision-making skills 
  • Proven ability to proactively identify issues, develop strategic options, and drive decisions to plan and implement activities to achieve desired outcomes. 
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Proven experience partnering with the business ensuring operational requirements are met
  • Previous experience with an Airline/Crew management system (iFlight), Reservations system (1ARES) and Microsoft Office Productivity tools (desirable)
