Job Description

Network Aviation is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Qantas Group, providing high-capacity air charter and regular passenger transport services. We operate a fleet of aircraft from our base at Perth Airport. We specialise in mining industry support, regional airline services, routine and emergency freight and corporate charter flying.

Your new role as Manager Technical Operations, will see you responsible for the management of engineering technical operations including maintenance planning and technical records, maintenance operations and engineering support systems. You will be responsible for the management of Maintenance Watch and Maintenance Planning for the Network fleet of F100 & A320 aircraft. This includes maintaining technical and engineering oversight of daily operations, disruption recovery, defect rectification and compliance control.

This position will hold responsibility to CASA as a “Responsible Manager” under CASR Part 42 for the management of Maintenance Records, Data Integrity and MIS system including access/security. You will also have the responsibility to act on behalf of the AOC to ensure the safe, compliant and cost-effective execution of all maintenance relating to the fleet.

You’ll have –

  • 10 years’ experience working in the aviation industry
  • Degree in Business, Engineering or an Aviation related discipline is desirable (minimum to meet CASA Form 4 requirements)
  • Demonstrated experience in fleet health monitoring and predictive maintenance management systems
  • Experience in strategy development and implementation
  • Proven people leadership experience with the ability to develop high performing, engaged teams
  • Ability to analyse and review data to identify trends and develop strategies and processes
  • Strong project management and process improvement experience
  • Working knowledge of Part 42 & 145 regulations and expositions
  • Strong written and oral interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to build strong and durable relationships
