Fleet Programs Change and Communications Manager

The Fleet Programs Change and Communications Manager is primarily responsible for managing change and communications associated with Fleet Programs activity, being the Entry-Into-Service (EIS) of aircraft types  that are new to Qantas Airlines including A321XLR and A350-1000URL. This role provides expert change management advice and leads the change portfolio as well as being responsible for setting the internal communication strategic direction, in consultation with the Group’s corporate communications teams, and delivery of communications in a dynamic, fast paced environment. You will work very closely with the Fleet Programs leadership team, key teams within the operational business units as well as other internal and external stakeholders across all levels of seniority.

You’ll have –

• 10+ years’ experience in employee and stakeholder communications and/or change management roles.
• Aviation or large infrastructure project experience preferred
• Degree qualifications in Change Management, Project Management, Business or Communication highly regarded
• Passion for solving problems and delivering solutions
• Demonstrated ability to translate strategic business issues into effective communications within a large organisation
• Strong and confident stakeholder management ability
• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
• Strong research skills with the ability to articulate this information
• Proven interpersonal and relationship development skills with a flexible and collaborative approach
• Ability to understand and translate strategic business issues into effective communications
• Knowledge of the Industrial Relations framework, its application to the business unit and issues
• Broad knowledge of Qantas Group and the business unit cultural dynamics
• Aviation industry knowledge
