AME

Key responsibilities/accountabilities may include:

• Be aware of departmental OHS performance.
• Assist with investigations and review serious incidents and assist in implementation of corrective actions.
• Participate in Risk Assessment and JSA’s when required
• Demonstrate commitment to OHS by participating in meetings, inspections and other appropriate activities.
• Ensure adherence to the Fatigue Management Principles and mitigations are exercised and recorded where required in conjunction with your Supervisor
• Encourage and promote a safe and healthy workplace.
• Ensure the Supervisor is aware of any safety concerns or hazards you encounter.
• Ensure adherence to any safety instructions from your Certification Authorisation Holder or Supervisor
• Ensure all hazards are made safe, reported and rectified or escalated as required and follow up on actions
• Take personal control of incidents and accidents and ensure appropriate people remain informed
• Notify Manager of any show cause incidents that would require drug and alcohol screening
• Lead business improvement projects 
• Attend all scheduled training to ensure compliance to the MOE
• Promote safety among your peers and colleges
• Report all safety related issues through Starsafe in a timely manner
• Ensure that Read and Initials are reviewed and kept up to date
• Ensure personal tool control process is carried out in accordance with the MOE AME Mechanical
• Performance aircraft maintenance in accordance with approved data and Jetstar Airways Part 145 Approved Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE)
• Communicate any significant aircraft AOG to Certification Authorisation Holder/Supervisor 
• Take the lead in business improvement initiatives
• Assist to ensure GSE is check and maintained as per specified requirements   
•  Ensure personal tool control process is carried out in accordance with the MOE
• AME Mechanical -
• Performance aircraft maintenance in accordance with approved data and Jetstar Airways Part 145 Approved Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE)
• Communicate any significant aircraft AOG to Certification Authorisation Holder/Supervisor 
• Take the lead in business improvement initiatives
• Assist to ensure GSE is check and maintained as per specified requirements   

Additional experience/competencies may include: Completed Aviation Apprenticeship with a minimum of 85% pass mark  Proven organisational and problem solving skills  Working within a Safety Management System   Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within a team  Understanding of TRAX and basic computer literacy
