Senior Advisor, Internal Communications

• 12 months fixed term contract, based at our Qantas Head office in Sydney

As a Senior Advisor, Internal Communications, you will be responsible for designing and implementing internal communication strategies and campaigns that align with the Qantas Group’s strategic goals. You will play a key role in strengthening the connection between employees and the organisation’s vision by tailoring communications to diverse audiences. Partnering with stakeholders, you will provide strategic advice and craft impactful messaging across both digital and face-to-face channels. 

Additionally, you will collaborate with the broader Corporate Affairs team to develop proactive communication plan. This is an exciting opportunity to elevate your internal communications expertise within a highly collaborative team. You’ll have:

• 5+ years’ experience in an internal or external communications role or similar
• A dynamic and creative out-of-the-box way of thinking combined with strategic insight
• Exceptional written and digital communication skills
• Demonstrated experience managing employee communication channels and campaigns ideally within complex organisations
• An ability to prepare communications material for a wide range of audiences and purposes
• Experience in the development and implementation of comprehensive communication strategies
• Excellent ability to build strong relationships, especially within a large organisation
• An ability to deal with fast-paced environments and excel under pressure
• Willingness to work irregular hours and travel interstate as needed
