Your new role as Principal Analyst Network Planning will see you reporting to Network Planning Manager and responsible for Domestic and International fleet capacity planning, new route business cases, and internal stakeholder collaboration to achieve market performance goals. Over time, you will be given the opportunity to manage a subset of markets and develop sophisticated stakeholder management, negotiation, and decision-making skills. You will be responsible for analysing relevant data and providing insights to facilitate informed, data-driven decision-making by business stakeholders, identifying and implementing strategic, analysis-based initiatives, and improving efficiency for assigned markets.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Strong understanding of the airline industry, Qantas Group, and competitors' schedules and products
  • Ability to interpret profit & loss statements and derive cost estimates for flying
  • Advanced analytical skills with expertise in Excel modelling
  • Quick learner with the ability to develop new tools and techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on error-checking
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with PowerPoint proficiency
  • Skilled in managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Trusted by Senior Management and peers
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, or aviation
  • 2+ years’ experience in consulting, finance, or accounting preferred.
