As the Tool Crib Operator, you will be responsible to perform all Tool crib duties of dispensing serviceable tools and equipment to all operational staff for aircraft maintenance activities. You will ensure tooling and equipment is properly maintained, and scheduled servicing / repairs are carried out in conjunction with running frequent asset management tooling reports. You will also support the operational business unit inside the tool crib dispensing consumables, radios and headsets to ensure the availabilities of assets to all operational staff in the area of responsibility. This role will also see you conduct administrative and compliance tasks relating to Aircraft Tooling and equipment directed by the Tooling Facilitator such as audits, stock-takes and reporting compliance matters.

You’ll have –

  • The ability to correctly identify & understand aircraft tooling and equipment requirements
  • Understand asset management and maintenance policies and work within the approved information data system 
  • Ability to obtain CAT II air side drivers licence
  • Ability to work across 24 hour 7 day rotational roster
  • Good technical background and knowledge of aircraft tooling and equipment 
  • Sound computer skills with ability to use all tooling and equipment standard desktop software’s
  • Experience in tooling management and risk assessment
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills. 
  • Trade qualification in related field
  • Ability to problem solve during operational maintenance activities relating to tooling
  • Show good initiative in managing urgent aircraft tooling requests when working alone
  • Prior experience in a similar role
