The Senior Technical Officer-Receipt Compliance is responsible for ensuring airworthiness compliance of all major engines and APU’s returning from external MRO’s after repair or overhaul. Referencing Qantas specific engine created work scope and MRO supplied paperwork, you will ensure compliance with Qantas Policy and Procedures Manual. The key responsibility in this role is to maintain MXi data integrity by ensuring timely and accurate information transfer of engine / APU data into the system of maintenance (MXi).

You will ensure strict regulatory compliance for aviation parts fitted to engines. Suspect Unapproved Parts (“SUP”) are identified during the material exchange process with the MRO. The role also includes providing technical support in preparation of shop visit work scopes and data packs for external maintenance and managing workflow through the receipt compliance team.

You’ll have –

  • Trade Certificate, e.g. Aircraft Trade Certificate IV or equivalent qualification and the ability to hold a Production Examiner authority 
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to adopt a systematic approach to problem solving in a complex technical environment and exercise sound professional judgment under pressure 
  • Effective planning and prioritising skills for workflow management
  • Proven ability to work effectively autonomously, as well as within a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Well-developed interpersonal and representational skills
  • Motivation to adapt positively to and facilitate change
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer programs including Microsoft Suite, SUPPLY, Intelx, ERes, AV-Data, ADOC Navigator, DocuNet and QEPM
  • Familiarity with aircraft industry documentation (OEM Service Literature, AD’s etc)
  • Working knowledge of CASA policies, standards, regulations, orders and procedures relating to Airworthiness
  • Willingness to undertake further education related to the position.
