As the Operational Safety Performance Manager, you will lead the development and continuous enhancements of safety programs, initiatives, and frameworks across Qantas Global Airports - both domestically and internationally. In this role, you’ll oversee safety monitoring and risk mitigation strategies, ensuring a transparent flow of safety information throughout the organisation. You’ll also drive the reporting program and harness analytical capabilities to forecast emerging safety risks, guiding necessary improvements to our Qantas Group safety system.

 

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 5+ years’ experience in managing safety management functions, ideally within aviation or an operational environment
  • Cert IV in WHS or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated ability and competency in managing and interpreting data and using business intelligence reporting systems
  • Good organisational skills, with ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently, under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Previous experience managing complex and or transformational projects and developing / negotiating solutions
  • Ability to successfully work in a team environment as an individual who demonstrates flexibility, self-motivation, enthusiasm and sound judgement
  • Superior time management and organisational skills with the ability to work across multiple complex tasks concurrently and deliver quality output
  • The ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with all levels of management and external stakeholders.
