The Senior Manager, Data & Analytics Personalisation & Experimentation (P&E) role plays a pivotal role in enabling Qantas Loyalty to harness the power of data in the continued evolution of Personalisation & Experimentation. Each Commercial Tribe within Qantas Loyalty considers data and analytics a fundamental competitive advantage, and this role actively contributes to designing, delivering, and refining these capabilities to ensure they align with the distinct needs of each business unit. The position supports the strategic direction, roadmap, and execution of personalisation initiatives while owning critical data-driven decisions that shape the holistic development of this capability across the Qantas business.


Although chapter-managed, this role works in close partnership with the Head of P&E to represent the data strategy and requirements within the personalisation framework. The role requires seamless collaboration across cross-functional teams and multiple data and analytics stakeholders such as campaign analytics, strategic insights and data products to ensure data integrity, capture valuable insights, establish measurement frameworks, provide executive-level reporting, and contribute meaningfully to the strategic evolution of the Personalisation program.
 

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 10+ years of experience in analytics, commercial or customer roles
  • Tertiary qualification in relevant field (Statistics, Computing, Commerce or related analytical field)
  • Deep expertise and experience across a wide range of analytical disciplines: Data
    science, Behavioural Analytics and Segmentation.
  • Sophisticated people and influencing skills.
  • Deep experience and expertise in inspiring and leading teams and building trust and effective working relationships, and exerting influence with executive and senior leadership.
  • Deep problem-solving ability: Able to leverage deep technical expertise, commercial
    and strategic thinking, and ability to think laterally to inform solutions and Ability to
    integrate inputs from a wide range of disciplines in designing a solution.
  • Communication skills: Ability to communicate highly complex topics in a way that can
    be understood by less technical stakeholders
  • Strategic planning and change management; Ability to set strategy, leveraging a
    deep understanding of QL business needs and external industry trends. Ability to
    design and govern complex project plans for the delivery of key strategic initiative.
